Hey! I'm Amy and I'm a little different to other PT's.
My whole life I was told that fitness and movement would kill me as I was born with a serious congenital heart condition, and given 20% chance of survival. Throughout my childhood I battled through multiple open-heart surgeries and told I would need a heart transplant in my early 20s to make it my 30s.
HOWEVER, this all changed when I was 18. I felt weak, out of control and knew something needed to change so I started working out in my spare room. I took it slowly but eventually progressed into the gym much to the concern of my cardiologists until around 3 years ago, when I had a hospital appointment that changed everything. What was meant to be prep for my heart transplant turned into me finding out that my fitness level had made my heart stronger and enabled me to push my heart transplant back by 10-15 years, meaning I will outlive my life expectancy with my little heart.
I am proof that you can do anything you put your mind to, I use my own personal story to help women find the joy in moving their bodies whilst also being pushed to their potential. There's nothing you cannot do!!
